Description
Life awakens us to continuous opportunities for service. In this Spirit of Service series, we will explore how service is a natural expression of our humanity. We will reflect on the meaning and place of service in our personal and professional lives. Through mediation, inquiry, and group discussion we will discover the true heart of service and the shadows that obscure it. We will investigate the call to service and the common roadblocks of roles, isolation, perfectionism, and the ways we distance ourselves from suffering that hinder our capacity to fully express our compassion. This series is open to all but may be of particular value for healthcare professionals and other caregivers.
This course is a co-sponsored event with Upaya Zen Center and the Metta Institute. All are welcome, and no previous experience is required.
Program Details
Dates: 5 Sundays: February 8, March 8, April 26, May 24, and June 28

Program Fee & Cancellation Policy
This five-part course has a base price of $200.00. The full balance for the program is due to secure your place in the program. Please consider donating the highest amount you can afford ($50, $100 or $150.00) above the base fee. Your generosity supports Upaya Zen Center and Metta Institute. The amount you are able to donate above the $200 fee may be tax deductible.
Cancellation Policy: the full balance for the program is refundable up until three days prior to the commencement of the program, minus a 25% cancellation fee.
